7th
grade Memorial students were challenged to explore the scientific
method in order solve a huge problem here at Memorial. How do you
protect an egg when dropped from about 15 ft.? This
investigation led them to learn about how to research, hypothesize,
experiment, evaluate successes and failures and create an apparatus
based upon the data they collected. All students worked hard to
create egg protection apparatuses. Awards were given for students
that created a design with the least mass while still protecting the
egg. Ms.
Meyer's class winners for her period 4 class were Alyssa Penney 1st
place, Christian Guignard 2nd place, Kevin Conley 3rd place, and
Antonia Frisco most creative. Ms. Meyer's period 6 class winners
were, 1st place Ashley Kilmartin, 2nd place Mackenzie Bowring and most
creative, 3rd place Meaghan Holmquist.
