Baseball
The batting stance
*First you need to stand sideways, then lift your
shoulders up so they are nice and leveled, then have your feet shoulder
width apart, also you must be near the home base. Have your knees bent
a little, and your hands lose on the handle of the bat, have your head
rest on your shoulder, if you’re a right swinger your head goes on your
left shoulder and if you’re a left swinger then you’re head rests on
the right shoulder.
Pitching
*Stand side ways having you
is foot leaning on the pitcher rubber, while the other foot spread out
a foot longer then your shoulder length. Then pull your front foot back
to your shoulder width, wile doing that bring your hand into your
glove, this is when you can pick which type of ball you want to throw
like fast ball or slider or maybe even a knuckle ball. Once you chose
lift your front leg up so your legs around a 90º angle, push off
your back and throw it to the catcher.
Catching
*You have to have all the
catcher gear on and a cup, if you don’t have those items on then you
could get hurt badly. Once you have the gear on then stand at least a
foot back from home base in a crouching stance.
The Positions
*There are 9 positions in baseball and 10 if you count hitting a
position. The positions are pitcher, catcher, first base, second base,
shortstop, third base, left field, center field, and right field. I
would say the most important spot is shortstop because it tells how
many outs there are and where to throw the ball if it’s an infield
play. The second most important spot is the catcher if he didn’t catch
the ball then the game would take forever.
Players
*My favorite players are David
Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis, Curt Schilling,
Tim Wakefield, Coco Crisp and if you haven’t noticed its all red sox
players
Alexander Cartwright invented baseball in 1845 and played the first
game.
