Miley
Ray Cyrus was actually born with the name Destiny Hope Cyrus. Destiny
was born September 23, 1992 to the country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Her
real mother died when she was a baby. When she was little Destiny was
nicknamed Miley,
because she would always smile. On December
28,1993 Billy Ray Cyrus got remarried to Letisha "Tish Finley". Tish is
who Miley considers mom. Miley actually grew up in Franklin, Tennessee.
Franklin has a lot of shopping place which Miley is happy about,
because she describes herself as a "shopaholic". Miley has 5 siblings,
her older half brothers Christopher and Trace, her older stepsister
Brandi, younger half brother braison, and last but surely not least her
younger half sister Noah Lindsey. The Cyrus family has many pets....
They have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 7 horses.
Miley attened Heritage Middle School hen she was younger. She always dreamed of being in the show business, so she tried out for both cheerleading and dance. One of Miley's most embarrassing moments happened when she was about to try out for the dance team. Miley wore a jean skirt to school that day and she was dancing in the hallway and right in the middle of a dance move she slipped and her skirt ripped. The guidance councelor was able to fix the skirt, but to add to her embarrassment her mother was called.
Miley first started singing when she was 2 years old. Not only was Miley interested in singing but she was also interested in acting. At the age of nine Miley got very serious about her acting career. He rfamily moved to Toronto, Canada where her father was starting to shoot the television series Doc. Billy Ray played Clint "Doc" Cassidy in the show. Miley guest stared in one of the shows. The Episode Miley guest starred in was "Men in Tights," which aired on November 10, 2003. In that Episode Miley played the character Kylie. Miley appeared on the big screen in 2003 as well in Tim Burton's flick Big Fish. In Big Fish she played Ruthie an eight year old girl. When she was eleven years old Miley auditioned for a Disney Channel show. At first the TV executives said Miley was to young for the part, but then they decided to wait untill she was old enough to play the part of Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart.
