Sasuke has gotten a curse mark from Orochimaru while in the Second stage of the Chunin Exams (Forest of Death). Since he gotten the curse mark, he is growing evil and decides to run away from Konoha and join Orochimaru. Tsunade, the new hokage, tells Shikamaru to make a 5 man team including himself. Shikamaru gets Naruto, Choji, Neji, and Kiba. They then rush after Sasuke and the Sound Four. Before they left, Naruto promised Sakura he would bring Sasuke back. Along the way to Sasuke, Neji fights Kidomaru and Neji wins barely, Choji fights Jirobou and Choji wins and loses weight, Kiba fights Sakon+Ukon, Shikamaru fights Tayuya, and Naruto fights Kimimaru. Out of nowhere, Gaara's team shows up. Temari helps Shikamaru defeat Tayuya, and Kankuro helps Kiba defeat Sakon+Ukon. During the fight between Naruto and Kimimaru, Rock Lee shows up and tells Naruto to chase Sasuke and he would defeat Kimimaru. Rock Lee accidentally drinks Guy's drink instead of his medicine. Then Gaara helps Kimimaru and Kimimaru ends up using too much of his charka and kills himself. When Naruo finally when Naruto catchs up to him, they have an epic fight and it ends in a draw. Sasuke then ends up with Orochimaru and Naruto goes back to Konoha.
