Cow Island

Project Reach is an adventure-based curriculum featuring one of
the students’ favorite events, the fall field trip to Cow Island.
Approximately 100 seventh grade Project Reach students take a boat to
Cow Island in Casco Bay for an overnight camping excursion. With no
electricity and very little in the way of creature comforts, the
students learn about trust and teamwork by putting up tents and
executing zip line exercises. Plus the students get a kayaking lesson
from professional instructors to highlight the adventure.
